With a passion for design and quality, Simone Mayer and Mayda Perez founded FOH® in 2002. It all started with a vision to create a diverse, inclusive, and family-oriented environment both in our workspace and with the products we offer within the foodservice and hospitality industry.

From our headquarters in Miami to showrooms and distribution centers located throughout the world, we are proud to design and manufacture premium quality restaurant and hotel solutions.

The integrity of our research &amp; development process enables us to design with the highest quality for function and aesthetics. FOH Gives Back on Earth Day and Every Day Through Green Initiatives  

Earth Day is on April 22, and as a company committed to green initiatives, we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate! This year’s Earth Day theme is “Invest in Our Planet”, but at FOH, we make it our mission to make a positive impact on the environment every day of the year. 
As you may know, FOH has always been dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint. Not only do we offer sustainable solutions, we also engage in eco-friendly practices at our corporate settings and encourage our team members to give back to the community via our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, From Our Hearts.
Here is a look at some of our upcoming and previous Earth Day activities as well as ongoing sustainable workplace solutions.

<h3>Sustainable Products</h3>
The foodservice and hospitality industry has made a huge shift toward reducing the impact of its carbon footprint and creating more eco-friendly product options. Instead of producing single-use products or those made from plastic, the industry has moved toward providing solutions that are made from recycled materials with decomposable elements and products made from durable materials that can be reused numerous times.
In response to this global transition, we are actively increasing the number of <a href="https://frontofthehouse.com/front-of-the-house-sustainable-solutions.html">sustainable solutions</a> in our portfolio. We have modified some of the materials we use in our products to ensure they are as environmentally friendly as they are stylish and introduced sustainable collections in our Drinkwise, Platewise, and Servewise lines, including straws and plates made from biodegradable and compostable paper and wood, as well as BPA-free drinkware.
 
<h3>Eco-Friendly Product Packaging</h3>
Our products are always in-stock and ready to ship worldwide from distribution centers located throughout the world, which reduces transportation-related emissions and impact on the environment.
Shipments are assembled using PREGIS® special water-blue eco-friendly product packaging. This sustainable bubble wrap is considered 100% recyclable packaging, which is a HUGE deal. It is “curbside recyclable,” which means it can be placed in a recycling bin for pickup by a waste collection service. Regular bubble wrap contains materials that prevent it from being able to undergo simple recycling methods, so our packaging helps to significantly reduce our carbon footprint.
Additionally, a portion of proceeds are donated to Uzima Water Filters, a non-profit organization that provides clean water filters to people in developing countries that do not have access to clean water.
 
<h3>Green Initiatives at the Workplace</h3>
Our commitment to sustainability is at the heartbeat of our corporate culture. We have undergone several in-house initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint. For example, we have successfully replaced all plastic materials across our offices and distribution centers with our very own sustainable collections and filtered water dispensers to discourage consumption of plastic water bottles. Our workspaces are energy-efficient as well, outfitted with LED motion sensor lighting, Nest programmable thermostats, and energy-saving appliances.

<h3>One Tree Planted</h3>
<a href="https://onetreeplanted.org/">One Tree Planted</a> is a nonprofit organization dedicated to global reforestation. Founded in 2014, the organization plants one tree for every one dollar donated to the cause and has more than doubled the number of trees planted each year since its inception. FOH first partnered with One Tree Planted after accepting the <a href="https://frontofthehouse.com/blog/fohr-x-one-tree-planted-html.html">#MillionTreeChallenge</a> to restore National Forests across the United States and have been contributing to the effort every year since. Many of our team members participated in the green initiative by planting trees at the Country Club of Miami’s South Park in Hialeah.
 
<h3>The Oceanic Society</h3>
FOH partnered with the Oceanic Society for <a href="https://www.oceanicsociety.org/our-work/blue-habits/">Blue Habits</a>, an ocean cleanup and conservation initiative. Blue Habits aims to bring awareness to society about the impact of our behavior on the ocean and promote positive actions so we can actively make a difference in protecting our oceans. Our pledge helped to eliminate approximately 20,000 pounds of plastic from the world’s oceans.
 
<h2 style="line-height: 18px;">Upcoming Earth Day Activities</h2>
<h3>Loop Mobile Shoreline Cleanup</h3>
Hosted by <a href="https://www.volunteercleanup.org/loop_mobile_oleta_cleanup_04012023">VolunteerCleanup.org</a>, the beach cleanup is sponsored by Loop Mobile and takes place at Oleta River State Park. Members of our team who volunteered will be picking up trash and marine debris around the shoreline of Biscayne Bay, one of South Florida’s most important ecological systems. VolunteerCleaunp.org will provide all the supplies for the cleanup (gloves, bags, pickers, buckets, sunscreen, insect repellent, and hand sanitizer).
<h3>Baynanza Cleanup</h3>
Our Earth Day volunteer work continues at Pelican Harbor Marina to celebrate the 41st anniversary of Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day. <a href="https://www.miamidade.gov/global/service.page?Mduid_service=ser1516206542736138">Baynanza</a> is celebrated throughout March and April and brings the community together to help clean Biscayne Bay’s shorelines at 31 locations across Miami-Dade County. Headquartered in Miami, these types of green initiatives are especially dear to us since this is our home.
<h3>Broward County Library’s Earth Day Fun Day</h3>
On Earth Day, we’ll be at Hollywood Beach to celebrate the second annual <a href="https://broward.libnet.info/event/8008189">BCL Earth Day Fun Day</a>. Sponsored by the Broward County Library, the family-friendly event will feature a beach cleanup, StoryWalk, conservation awareness program, and other Earth Day activities.
As Earth Day approaches, we are all reminded to be more mindful of the impact our actions have on the environment. FOH continues to be committed to offering both eco-friendly products and sustainable workplace solutions to help reduce our carbon footprint and protect our planet in any way we can. We are proud to be a pro-sustainability and green initiatives company!

Hotels are always on the lookout for new modern bathroom accessories that will set their guests’ experiences apart from those of their competitors. This year, it’s all about the organic look when it comes to design. Cool, earthy tones and natural materials are all the rage. And, in keeping with the latest trends, we’ve spruced up our bathroom collections by introducing new colors, shapes, and finishes to many of our lines that are as stunning as they are grounding – all of which were inspired by current styles and customer feedback.  
Whether you or your hotel partners are looking to refresh current collections or create a new signature style, we’ve got you covered. So, without further ado, here are the chic bathroom accessories that will bring that WOW factor everyone craves.

<h2 aria-level="2">Miami Cement Grey Collection </h2>
Our popular Miami collection is now available in gorgeous <a href="https://roomthreesixty.com/products/new/miami.html">Cement Grey</a>. Crafted of resin and natural stone, the Miami Cement Grey line was inspired by the unpolished, industrial look and materials of our industrial Seattle collection with each piece featuring natural variations. However, it offers an elevated take on the natural, rustic look that is in high demand by keeping the soft, rounded edges that make the Miami collection a more universal choice for many hotels.  
The combination of resin and stone also ensures these bathroom essentials will not only provide the organic vibe that guests are longing for, but the durability and resistance that’s both needed and expected from any bathroom product. Plus, the textured finish reduces the appearance of wear and makes these modern bathroom accessories easy to clean and sanitize.

<h2 aria-level="2">Stone Color </h2>
And speaking of grey, we’ve introduced a new Stone color to two of our collections. Making its original debut with our <a href="https://roomthreesixty.com/products/new/london.html">London</a> line, the Stone hue can be described as a warm grey with a cool undertone. This color is one of the most sought-after in design right now. The perfect balance of sophisticated and earthy, it’s like a warm blanket that makes everyone feel calm and soothed.  
In fact, this color proved to be so popular among our customers, we expanded the collection by adding more bathroom accessories in this hue and also introduced it to our <a href="https://roomthreesixty.com/products/new/new-york.html">New York collection</a>. Choose from a variety of products in Stone, like a square tissue box cover, soap dish, amenity tray, and more.   
One reason the Stone hue has been such a hit is because it is extremely versatile. It works equally well when creating a homogenous, single-color collection or when complementing other hues in a mixed collection. It also looks great in all materials, whether you’re looking for a high-gloss composite product, like those in our New York line, or high-end faux leather like the pieces in our London collection.

<h2 aria-level="2">Hand Soap Dispensers </h2>
When it comes to modern bathroom accessories, hand soap dispensers are at the top of the list. Many hotels are turning away from single-use, disposable, and plastic amenities, replacing these products with more eco-friendly and sustainable solutions. And we couldn’t agree more. We here at rooms360 are big on sustainability, and in keeping with our efforts to reduce our environmental impact (and help hotels do so as well), we’ve introduced hand soap dispensers to several of our collections, including Miami.  
However, our <a href="https://roomthreesixty.com/products/new/morocco.html">Morocco collection</a> is where we really took these hotel bathroom accessories to new level. The soap pumps in this line were designed with a convenient window to indicate when soap is running low, boosting housekeeping efficiency. They are also made from the same durable resin material that allows the natural facets of the stone to pop through.  
Keep a lookout for these hotel accessories soon in our New York collection.  
 
<h2 aria-level="2">Frosted Bin Liners </h2>
Another new bathroom accessory we introduced is a bin liner in a <a href="https://roomthreesixty.com/products/products-by-use/bathroom/waste-baskets-liners.html/eyJmaWx0ZXJzIjp7ImNvbG9yX2ZpbHRlciI6WyI4NzQiXX19">frosted finish</a>. This product was actually inspired by a custom order request. One of our customers who had purchased recycling bins and waste baskets from our Nassau line asked for bin liner in a color that wouldn’t alter the shade of the translucent look that’s characteristic of this collection. At this point, the liners we offered were in a shade of brown, so they darkened and solidified the color of the bins. 
So, as a solution to this problem, our designers came up with a frosted liner that was so aesthetic and enhanced the product so much, we introduced it as a permanent solution in our Nassau line that anyone can acquire and benefit from. Like our other liners, the frosted shade is waterproof, fire resistant, and easy to clean. Because the frosted finish is neutral, the bin’s actual color won’t be muted. Plus, unlike a completely clear solution, the frost aspect helps mask items inside the bins.   
 
<h2 aria-level="2">Putting Our Modern Bathroom Accessories to the Test </h2>
Before any of our bathroom accessories hit the market, they must undergo rigorous testing. Hotel bathroom products are often put through some of the harshest elements and circumstances, including frequent cleaning with highly potent, industrial-grade solutions. Knowing this, we take the time to perform numerous chemical and drop tests to ensure the materials we use in our accessories will hold up over time.

PRACTICING RADICAL GENEROSITY IN OUR CORPORATE GIVING

Corporate giving is baked into the DNA of our company. While we practice corporate giving year-round, it's especially top of mind this time of year.
So, we wanted to share some of the things we’re grateful for and causes we’re passionate about. It’s our way of encouraging everyone inside and outside our #FOHFAM to participate in radical generosity.

Our FOH® family made the time to gather as a corporation right before our Thanksgiving break to share some of the things we were grateful for in our personal and professional lives. This time of reflection may have been via a zoom meeting, but it brought us closer as a team and even brought some of us to tears. We gave ourselves the opportunity to dive into each other’s worlds and realize the overall difficulties some of our team members had to overcome in 2022.
We learned how little acts of kindness from other team members really made a difference! This realization made us aware of how valid our #FOHFAM values are. It reinforced our desire to continue practicing radical generosity during the holiday season and throughout the year.

Each year, From our Hearts®, our corporate giving program donates thousands of dollars to worthy causes selected by a small group of FOH® team leaders. This year, we wanted each member to participate in the decision-making process, so we partnered with Groundswell. This giving app makes it easy to donate to worthy charitable causes. Our leadership team gave each team member $100 via the app to contribute to reasons they were passionate about.
The results?

Massive amounts of giving energy and thoughtful donations that truly define radical generosity.
As you can imagine, the charitable causes were as diverse as our team members. So far, our team has donated to 74 reasons and counting!

10,000 FOH® Products Donated As Part Of Charitable Giving

We did it again! Our charitable giving program, From Our Hearts®, recently donated 26 pallets of FOH® products to <a href="https://www.morningdaycommunitysolutions.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Morningday Community Solutions</a> (MCS). The items donated were part of our <a href="https://www.roomthreesixty.com/products/collections/composite-resin/nassau.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">room360® Nassau Collection</a> and included amenity trays, tissue box covers, and soap dishes that had recently been discontinued.

These items are often found in hotel bathrooms and guest rooms, and now they will be used to accessorize the homes of those in need in our South Florida community. We are so pleased that our discontinued items found a good home!

We love to be a part of a solution, not just for our clients, but also for our community and our planet. That’s why MCS was a great candidate for our charitable giving.
<h3>Commitment to Sustainability</h3>
FOH® is committed to sustainable business practices. Last year we participated in the #MillionTreeChallenge and helped with reforestation efforts in national forests across the United States. Our team also planted over 200 saplings in a local park to help improve the tree canopy in the neighborhood.
So, when we discontinue an item to refresh our collections, we want to find a sustainable way to repurpose our inventory. MCS helped us do that by recycling our items.
Through this practice of recycling, MCM has prevented 400+ tons of retail waste. They also help charities supply essential household items to the under-served in our community, including at-risk youth and veterans.

MCS makes a difference by taking new and like-new household goods, furniture and more and making them available to local charities at a fraction of their costs. By spending less on obtaining these much-needed items for their constituents, charities are able to stretch their budget so they can do even more.

FOH® X ONE TREE PLANTED

One tree planted at a time makes an impact! Approximately 20, 200 new saplings ( saplings are small trees usually between 1 and 4 inches in diameter at 4.5 feet) have been planted since 2021 on behalf of FOH®, our partners, and our team.
The initiative stems from our ongoing commitment to sustainability that is rooted and one we intend to grow. It’s one simple way FOH® can help reforestation across the globe.
Our partnership with <a href="https://onetreeplanted.org/">One Tree Planted </a>began when accepted the #MillionTreeChallenge, to restore National Forests across the United States. Million Tree Challenge members contribute to the reforestation of iconic forests that have been affected by natural conditions like wind damage, tree diseases, and forest fires. FOH® is proud to have completed, not 1 - but 2 challenges.
As stated on their website:
"One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As an environmental charity, we're on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees!
Started in 2014, we have more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year. Fast-forward to today, we now work with awesome reforestations partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help us get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity."
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. They also absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Trees even provide jobs to more than 1.6 billion people around the world.
Since One Tree Planted started in 2014 and planted 150,000 trees its first full year, their numbers have grown significantly. By 2019, for instance, they were able to get 4 million additional trees in the ground worldwide. In 2020, the count was more than 10 million trees planted in 28 countries. And by year-end 2021, the number was well over 23.5 million trees in 42 countries.”
Last year, Diana Chaplin, who’s the Canopy Director at One Tree Planted, helped to host a lunch &amp; learn for everyone at FOH.. She filled us in on the non-profit’s six pillars of reforestation — Air, Water, Biodiversity, Social Impact, Health, Climate — as well as some updated stats.
More recently, we teamed up once more however more locally with Miami Dade’s Million Tree initiative, a Neat Street program aiming to achieve a 30% tree canopy for our community. On May 12th, our FOH® Fam met at the Country Club of Miami’s South Park in Hialeah to plant 200 more saplings, including native Simpson’s and Spanish stoppers. It was a day of sun, sweat, and teamwork, as our efforts contributed to a green screen for nearby neighbors. The parkwide additions provide cooling for walkways, mitigate flooding, filter stormwater and provide habitat &amp; food for wildlife.
One Tree Planted educate new trees to help stabilize the local climate, improve water and soil quality, reduce the risk of future fires, and improve habitat connectivity for native wildlife.
This mission is well aligned with the identity of our brand. Developing more than sustainable products, FOH® is dedicated to contributing to the overall longevity of our environment’s health.

NEWH, our partners, and the premier hospitality industry network, successfully executed The Product Runway in 2018, held at the Rumi Event Space in New York City. We were teamed up with HLW Design for an immersive adventure conceptualizing a ready-to-wear ensemble constructed with our room360 by FOH accessories.
Thanks to the HLW design team and model who brought the wardrobe to life with a bodice using patterns and stripes combining Metroweave woven vinyl in Nautical Blue and Belize Dune, a faux shagreen; a deconstructed skirt ruffled and layered with Austin Saddle, reversible distressed faux leather.
